Steering issues
Hey thanks in advance for any help I get..
I have a 98 cherokee, stock as of right now.
I've been noticing a little ticking sound coming from my front driver side wheel area, nothing major sounding, so I've greased all the grease spots underneath and went on for a while. Just the other day it started to get worse, and now I'm having some more noticlble issues. It drives fine no shaking, but when I turn, not minor curves, but actual make a turn, in either direction I have a jerk in the wheel and it's hard to turn it back around straight. I'm just guessing but could this be a wheel bearing issue? Any help?

Sounds like you have a bad axle u-joint. Check them both for any play. You'll probably find at least one of them going bad.

Thanks a lot. I'm mechanically inclined and have tools available but still a green horn to a lot this. I'm really enjoying fixing my jeep myself and learning the ins and outs of it. Pros on this forum really make it less of a headace.

Yes they do!
I'm no pro. Like you, I just like working on this thing, and I'm learning as I go too.
