steering damper, fitting problem

Cool steering damper, fitting problem

hi all, fitting new damper, all good but it seems to just touch the track bar, i think that's the bar it bolts to....its a old man emu one..will post pics in morn...is this norm ,or has anyone got a pic of there after market one fitted ...so i can compare ..cheers

here's how it sits but me thinks its the wrong way around, all the mud and stuff would just go up into the sleeve..and when i put it around the other way it just hits the bar and no more...would that be a problem??? cheers

It should go the other way around, I have the same one and it installed fine. I think there's a pic in my build thread if that helps any. Shouldn't hit anything either.

Cut the sleeve off around the weld with a grinder and remove it. You don't need it.

ah grinder + jeep mmmmm...might run it for a bit and see if there are any problems...if any i shall do as you recommed....
