1) Remove failed part.
2) Replace.
Done!
What was the original problem? What have you done so far to try to fix it?
Does it start normally (not struggling to fire)? When it dies is it immediately after releasing the key from 'start'? A second or two later? Any CEL or codes set?

Sorry. Two weeks ago it dies and wouldn't even try to fire. So I changed cps coil rotor and cap plugs alt batt. All to still no firing. Sent it to a shop. They said the timing was off 180 I prob fixed it with the cps. But had flooded it and that's y it didn't start then I changed everything else I mentioned. I just had the cap on backwards. Got the jeep back today. Been running foot all day. Little hesitant taking off from idle. Then was driving home and it just died. Now it will start but will die like two seconds later If I'm giving it gas it will rev up but then still dies a few seconds later
this sounds exactly like mine.. pretty much everything is new, except for the map sensor, and it's like it's just not gettin fuel. i have no way too get it too a shop, so.. .if anybody could help.. has new cps, fuel pump, rotor button, plugs, wires, dist, changed the map sensor but done the same thing.. and it happened after being down for about 2 months, then runnin strong again, but it just stopped one nite. and it does back fire, like pops all the way back too the intake box.. nebody have ne idea??

Remove and replace all moving parts. If that did not fix the issue, remove and replace all non-moving parts. If that did not fix the issue, repeat the process until it is fixed.
Gotcha. Does it re-start immediately if you try? Sure sounds like a fuel delivery problem. A fuel pressure gauge might be interesting, see what happens when it dies.
