and just so people know, the cable connecting the nss to the harness is the gray one in a 99... Idk why but i thought it was the black one so when I tried to bypass it.... needless to say it didn't work haha

well cleaned and put back in. No dice. Pulled the starter, no cables to "test" it with from the battery. Probably a bad way to test a starter anyways haha, anyways going to oreilly or napa tomorrow or saturday to get it tested/buy a new one. I hope I need a new one, cause idk what else it could be. It's just odd that it has never even been weak before that morning.

Two days ago, my Jeep wouldn't start. It would crank but not fire. I attributed it to the Crankshaft Position Sensor I've been having problems with (on order).
I had to jump start it and it started and ran fine. Yesterday, it started and ran fine all day. I went to the gym and when I came out, it refused to start. It acted like the battery was dead. It would slow crank until the battery couldn't turn it anymore.
When I took the keys out, the dash lights turned on and off intermittently, the radio did the same, it tried to crank itself and the alarm started acting up. Normal for this situation?
I then jumped it and it barely started. It hovered around 500 RPM and nearly died several times. I revved it up and it began to run slightly better but I noticed the headlights flickered a lot. It then sputtered and died.
I'm thinking it's a bad battery or a bad alternator. Thoughts?
Gonna take it in to get the battery and alternator tested on Monday. If I can get it there.

Fixed it. It was the stupid relay. It looked a little burnt on the prongs so i figured it would be cheaper than swapping a starter... and bam it starts. But its odd, I thought that if you can feel the relay click when someone turns the key then its supposed to be good? oh well.

Yea. If the relay was engaging the starter solenoid, that should be it. You would think. I've herd them buzz/chatter when they get low voltage there. Nice to be done though, EH?
