Starting to get high oil pressure
I just got this 2 weeks ago. I still have 50/50 warranty with the dealer but anyways saturday I did an oil change with new filter and castrol 10w30 engine oil. The pressure always stayed below 40 and after I did a coolant flush it started hitting 80. I'm very worried about this. Did I use the wrong type of oil? Or is it a bad oil pressure sending unit? Thanks for any help

Most likely a bad oil pressure sending unit.
When they fail, usually they fail with abnormally "high" readings.
I buy these directly from Jeep for best reliability/accuracy/mating with the factory gauge.

Do you think it is okay and safe for me to go to work tonight. My job is approx 40-50 miles away. I'm new to Jeeps lol

Yep, Id say its a bad sending unit also. Did you get any water/coolant on it when you did that flush, or bump it when changing the oil? Either of these might be the culprit. Ive got coolant/water in the sending units connector before and it did this. Took connector off, blew the coolant/water out, and Di-Electric greased it and was fine. Also, accidentely smacked one one time with wrench and messed something up inside and it did this also. They are cheap, around $25.
