starter trouble
so my starter is pooping the bed i think. when i start up, the starter stays running but not enguaged to the fly wheel. so i turn the jeep off but it continues to run. i disconected the batt and it stops, but starts spinning as soon as i connect the batt again. (again not enguaging the fly wheel) so after tapping the starter, solenoid and some fist shaking it finaly stops and off to work i go. when i get to work the stupid thing is running again. now i think this is an internal solenoid problem but what do you guys or gals think? has this happened to any of you?

yeper... when i swapped out my starter i mest up one of the connections and it touch another lead. after it arced i had to cut the nut off and replace it. if the connection is ok, the solenoid is a high current relay. they do go bad. that could be it. hope that helped
