Engine: 4L.

Starter switch only goes part way!

My "93"Cherokee 2.0 5 speed ignition switch turns part way, lights, radio, gauges come on then switch stops. I tried wiggling everything , wd40 in switch, and the #### thing still won't go farther. This is my dd so I need fix soonest.

Is your steering wheel turned at all?

I've had it happen on a few different vehicles where the steering wheel was turned just enough and for some reason wouldn't allow the key to turn completely. Just had to apply pressure to the steering wheel towards center while turning the key and got it to turn over.

maybe the ignition swithch has gone bad not the key switch the ignition switch

Engine: 4.0 with all of the noise and clatter

You can adjust the switch, it is lower on the steering column and held on with two screws. Loosen the screws and slide the switch up, tighten the screws and test to make sure it's working correctly.
