Default starter problem?

My zj decided to break down in the school parking lit yesterday. Wouldn't turn over and lights and radio didnt work so I figured it was the battery and had it checked. Its a yellowtop and they said its still in perfect condition. Before I go and rip the starter off does anyone know anything else that could be wrong? Thanks guys

The starter wouldn't stop the radio and lights from working.
Check grounds and power connections.

I replied as you were adding info. Your OP seems more like no power at all inside.
If it has power then cuts out and still no start, I'd lean toward starter solenoid.

Bad grounds? Bad relay?

Do a search for Dukie's write-up on how to troubleshoot starting issues with no crank, it's a great help (used it just a week or so ago).

X2, actually happened to me today after pumping my tires, + connector was semi-loose.

Turns out the battery teminal cable was corroded about a foot down into it...?
Cut open the rubber and soldered it together and works better than ever now hah
