About $100 unless you buy a new one from a dealer, then $300+

If it's at a shop, go get your own, drop it off, and have them install it (make sure you get the old one back for the core charge). I don't even want to imagine what they will charge for parts...

If you are not mechanically inclined. It is semi understandable. But then, why not have a friend do it.

That $100 was the price of a rebuilt after you turn in old one for core charge. You can tack on about another $200 if you have a shop do it for you. BTW, anybody can pull 2 bolts, 2 nuts and 2 electrical wires.

Thats why we are here. Whatever problem you have with an XJ, there is somebody on this forum that has already had it and can help you out. I've cleaned, rebuilt and replaced a Nuetral Safety Switch, too. We're not making fun of you, bro. We're just trying to save you a buck.
