started lifting my xj today..
re compress your coil springs and bolt in your control arms. then clock your springs so the end of the spring on the bottom sits in the little hole at the front of the coil bucket. its kinda hard to explain but as long as the springs are clocked right and the axle is bolted in everything should kinda shift the right way

Not so much a "HOLE" but an indentation that the last coil's end slides into.
With the exception of the coils, something doesn't seem right with the placement of the bump-stop tower (body) and the bumpstop pad (axle).
Looks like they are out of alignment. Or are my eyes not seeing the arcing of the suspension during comresssion?
Let me finish my coffee and stare at the pics, maybe it will change.

Your caster looks off. Might need to shorten those lower arms (if they are adjustable) but first get the jeep on all four and see how it looks. It's drooped pretty good in that picture and when the axle droops, it gets pulled backwards but i'm pretty sure you need to shorten the lowers.

looks like you dont have the lower control arm installed and the axle is not straight. this would explain the springs angle on both sides. but then again, i cant see everything under the heep

Leaks? Its a Jeep, its supposed to do theat...
My steering box in the ZJ leaks a little, and I too have a oil leak
(rear main seal) on both the XJ and ZJ. I'll get around to fixing the seals when its warm again. THe steering box, I just need to replace it as it wanders just a bit.

Leaks.... Don't mess with them. They are installed from factory.
The factory put those leaks there to lessen the amount of times you need to drain/change those fluids. Just keep putting fresh in.

Just kidding.
But those leaks are proof that the vehicle you're driving is a true XJ.

The plan is to fix her broken window, power steering, and then sell it. She will become the owner of my xj
