I've changed crank position sensor and cam position sensor with Mopar parts minus the throttle body sensors. I have a 2001 XJ. It will stall at idle or stopped at a light or will kind of hiccup, rev kinda high and resume idling.
Any experience with this issue? Thanks

What was with that ECU thing? Was it in fact OK?

Did you fiddle with the cam sensor again?

What means

Does that mean you didn't clean/replace them?

Do you have an OBD reader?

 

Seems a good old throttle body and IAC cleaning is what Dave is hinting at. That's maintenance man!!!

 

 

So, while uploading the above pic, parked, the XJ hiccuped and POOF! Just like that, engine light off and codes were gone.
I swear, this whiley thing has me baffled.

Yes guys! Back to the same issue. I pulled the TB and thoroughly cleaned it, replaced the IAC. STILL has this issue of stalling park or in drive. On the road, it runs great. However, after a long haul or even puttering around town , once I pull into park or stop at a light, it'll stall.BUT it starts right back without issue. Now I'm guessing heat soak? BUt even cold, it has a what I would describe as an odd idle. Seems to idle good but with a little shimmy every now and then or run then stall only to be restarted. As if its missing? AND no codes are popping up. I ordered the Mopar Heat Shield part# 56028371AA for the number 3 injector. Fuel injector swap?
YES! Red is mocking me at every turn. Yesterday, I parked at NAPA for oil, left it running and my girl said it died 4 times idling before she gave up and opted for windows down air conditioning. I also live in Richmond, TX and it's hot. Touching the hood to open it can cause 3rd degree burns LOL
