lol. Guess I'm just more familiar with the HO motors. Nice coolant system, not much for vacuum lines. Newer wiring throughout the whole jeep . Not totally knocking teh Renix, just most of my experience has been the HO's

true. I guess having a buddy that knows ECM's inside and out helps alot too. He's one of not many that has a megasuirt on a 4.0 (well what used to be a 4.0) lol. He's my go to guy for matching ECM to cam, headwork, and whatnot. They both have their down sides and upsides but right now all that matters is getting that to stop stalling. If I can't get it tonight I'll have to take my buddies samurai and I'll have to be all nice to it and stuff

Well, I was gonna work on it on Saturday. So we took it out behind the house on Friday night. first deep hole we hit it stalled out as we figured but this time wouldn't start back up. Saturday took out the multimeter and checked the resistance on the cps and got around 200. The other test i saw was to check the voltage while cranking and i got 0 volts when its supposed to get .35-.5.So I'm guessing it's CPS time. Yey. Thanks for the help guys

Alright. I replaced the CPS and the jeepo still would not start. (I must have performed the voltage test wrong or something) I'm happy I replaced it for teh fact that it looked like it got a nicked up over time. With a few extensions and a swivel and my girlfriends small hands we had it done in 25 minutes, alot better than I thought. With time running out I figured I'd replace the coil and ignition module. My buddy is cutting up an 89 so it was free and quick. Woo hoo jeep started right up and ran great.
With the jeep running good we headed out to our local woods and eevrything seemed fine until Saturday night came around and we hit one of the local mud runs which was pretty deep and got stuck. It stalled with teh quickness. We got pulled out and boom, fired right up and ran like it never got wet. Yesterday the same thing kept happening. I gotta get underneath with a hose and try to find out wtf is going on.

Got the garden hose out and soaked the crap out of the underneath of the truck and nothing. I cannot get this thing to stall with a garden hose. I cleaned the whole underneath of the Jeep real good with ZEP so i could inspect under there. I can't find anything to save my life. It's mainly when the drivers side goes under that it will stall. It will fire back up but stall back out instantly. It's definately getting fuel, cause it floods the motor out(you can smell it). It gets spark because it fires up(just stalls back out). As soon as you pull the vehicle out of the water it fires back up and runs like champ. Any ideas? It's frustrating as hell, when you hit a hole get stuck forwards and can't chew it back and forth
