Default stalled new alternator and battery still isn't charging up!?

Just installed a brand new alternator from napa and drove it for about 15 minutes and the battery level went further down, i was drving off of a dead battery that had only been on a 10 volt charger for about an hour. was the batttery just too low for it too charge or did i not let it run long enough for it to charge? i need help! this is my only vehicle and i need it to run.

Have the battery load tested. Charging the battery with a 10 volt charger will discharge it and could cause other damage.

ASD relay. Give it a few taps and see if that helps. If it does, it's a 15$ relay. Check it out. Had a similar problem

check your cables, if they are stiff and hard to move towards the ends (about 2"-6" from the end) then they are bad. they need to be flexible. But also go to Checkers, well i guess o'rileys and have them do a free electrical test to see whats up. They can do it with everything in the vehicle

and and all battery wires.

If they are bad go down to your local welding shop get some scrap (mine was free for 2/0 and crimp ends) and the length you need and some crimp ends. You will be able to get any size you want from 4ga to 3/0 (maybe even 4/0)
