I have been searching for an answer on the forums, but nothing quite matches.

2000 XJ Sport 85k. I have swapped both cam and crank sensors. And adjusted the throttle cable.

I have an issue were driving on a straight flat road the engine has good shifting and power. However, when I hit a decent incline at 40-50mph in overdrive, I give it some gas to downshift to get power to get up the include and sometimes it seems like no power is left when depressing the pedal and it can stall out on the incline. Usually starts right back up.

Your thoughts and input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

 

Check the fuel pressure maybe your fuel pump is weak. Also try checking the compression on the pistons just to see where it is.

 

After more searching, swapped the TPS and everything seems to be back to normal.
