Has anyone had any experience with this turbo kit? It seems like a pretty innovative design and Im thinking of trying it on the 4.0

Hope your motor is up to the extra pressure. Wouldn't run too much boost or you'll end up blowing head gaskets and such. You'll need to reflash the computer as well and back off some timing.

thats the neat thing about this turbo kit, it only puts out around 4psi boost normal and has a power button that rises it to 9psi boost so its not a huge amount of extra pressure.
I don't run a turbo but wouldn't buy a universal kit. For the same price u can buy one for an xj. Not have all the fab work and get a chip with it that changes your settings. Fuel timing shift points ext.

there is a a kit offered over on naxja that is "universal" it is designed for the xj using parts form other vehicles. EVERY turbo install i have seen has crept up to the 4000 dollar mark tho... You need to do ALOT of customizing with the little space in the engine bay

the write up is linked right off the website of EVERYTHING you need. and it came out to a few dollars under 3.5k.....
plan to put ALOT ALOT of money into it even using JY parts due to the customization involved
