Hey all,
Whenever I turn (either right or left) at low speeds there is a squeak that seems to be dependant on rotation of the tire (squeak...sqqqqqueak....) When I'm going straight, I don't hear any noises whatsoever, or when I go around a corner at quicker speeds, nothing. I haven't had it in 4hi to test if it makes it then, as well. That is something that I can check out today....if I remember when I get off work. It's slowly, but surely...starting to drive me crazy.
After a bit of searching, I think it could be the front axle u-joints. What else could I check to verify? Or other parts I should check? Also, would this have any effect on noises while braking hard? Because I slammed on my brakes a few days ago and I heard a ridiculously loud thunking noise....But that sounded like it was from the center of the car, so maybe the driveshaft was hitting something?

I'd check while sitting still and idling.. turn the wheel left and right. Does it squeek then? If so, you might check your belt tension. A loose belt will squeal when you're putting strain on the pwr steering pump.
