Default Sqeauling front tires

When ever i start to move my truck in the morning my front tires start to squeal. Its not the belts cause it stops when i stop moving then starts again as soon as the tires move. Also after it gets warm they stop, COuld it be the bearings.?

Just a little rust on the rotor will cause a squeal untill it is polished off by the pads. The Commander I use to own was bad about that. I could drive it downtown and park it for an hour or so and it would squeal like a pig untill I drove it about a mile.

It sounds more like a belt problem to me then a wheel bearing problem. If it was a bearing then you would hear a grinding noise when turning left or right and when it warms up it still wouldnt stop. It only stops grinding when you stop moving. Since you said squealing it sounds more like a belt problem to me. Ive had this happen to me, the belt would squeal apon start up and while tires are moving and stop when you stop moving and also when warmed up. To check to make sure its not your belt, go get some armour all from a auto parts place and turn engine on and spay belt while belt is moving but vehicle is not moving. If the squeal stops after awhile then its not your belt its something else but would not be your wheel bearings. Hope that this helps you out. John

Sounds like the brakes to me. Make sure your rotors and pads are thick enough. Brakes have a little piece of metal that scrapes to warn that you need new pads.

just the brakes, mine does the same thing. it's usually really apparent when you have semi-metallic pads on, like i do. after a few miles of driving through downtown traffic it goes away.
