Default Front axle problems what should I do?

Found my wheel bearings and U joints on the front axle were bad. This is to be expected when running 33's. But im wondering what route I should go here are the options I can think of tell me what you think or maybe sugest one of your own.

Oh and money is quite tight so tring to save but yet do it right.

Option 1) Get new wheel bearing and U joints and just install them.

Option 2) Get rid of my LP dana 30 for a HP one and hopefully find one at the junkyard that is in good shape.

What do you guys think? Also let it be known I have stock gears, Just did brakes on this axle (I could transfer those).

well the HP axle isn't any stronger so that would just be for driveline angles but you could find one for less than the new parts and put it in for a savings in $$, but I would just change the bearings and u joints. It takes me less than an hour to do them both, but if the u joints have never been changed be careful not to bend the yokes pressing them apart!!!!

Yeah the front binds a bunch tho so swapping a HP was on my list of things to do. How much would you guys say a fair price would be for a used axle?

for an hpd30 like 50 or so bucks... the junkyard is probably going to rape you on the price tho.

Okay im gonna start my search for a good HP with good bearings and Joints and hasnt been sitting for too long. Once I find one clean it up. My shop teacher said we could stiffen it up a bit as in the CA mounts and maybe a brace. Anything I should look for in an axle other than fluid, Bearings, Ball joints?
