Sputtering
I just got a 1996 jeep Cherokee with the 4.0 it didn't run when I got it but I finally got it to start and someone hooked cylinder 3&4 fuel injectors together and I haven't touched that yet but I got it to run it spits and sputters everytime you give it gas and pretty much won't start with out Ether here's a list of all I've done
CPS
Distributor
Cap
Rotor
Fuel pump
I set the timing on the distributor and am wondering if it would even start if it was a tooth off either way? It runs fine when you don't give it gas at times anyways then it goes back to sputtering and dies I know the fuel is about 4 months old and I'm going to put new fuel in it tomorrow and see if that helps but I'm just worried I'll have to pull the distributor back out and try and set the timing again any advice or similar problems? Also has anyone ever seen two fuel injectors on the same wires?? That kinda threw me for a loop. Thanks
