Spring service for the Jeep, what should I do?
I've got a 96' cherokee (AW4) that I have had since 109k miles. Right now, I am at 137k miles. I have replaced the spark plugs, distributor cap/rotor, plug wires, fuel filter, valve cover gasket, changed the power steering pump/fluid, as well as give it a brake fluid flush and fill.
The only thing I have not touched yet has been the tranny fluid. I have kept a close eye on it during the time I have owned it, checking the tranny fluid at least once a month to make sure it is still pink and good. It shifts perfectly fine and I don't notice any problems at all. I am wondering though if it is in my best interest to change out the filter and fluid? I have never done it before but I am pretty confident that I can do it.
Car's gonna be getting an oil change anyway in the coming days so I figured I would go ahead and tackle this now while I still can. I have heard of some people telling me that if you don't notice any problems, then just do a simple drain and fill at the pan and leave everything as it should be. Others have told me to just leave it alone altogether.

How does the fluid look? If it is still a nice red color, I'd leave it. If it is burnt at all and is brownish, I'd think about draining and refilling (flushing can actually hurt you though) and throwing in a new filter.
