I am a newbie and am wondering how important the splash panel under the front is. mine is toast and I won't replace it if it isn't a big deal.

 

just remove it. if you can find one in good condition that is super rare. most dont keep them on as they are not needed

You guys have troubles with water hitting the alt and stalling you? Figured it was that splash thing that would stop that, but I have never had one installed to know. Every time i get a bottom blast in a car wash, i stall lol.

 

maybe I will put a smaller panel to protect the alternator....thanks for mentioning that...it only rains from oct. to jul. here...lol

 

rain and puddles isnt an issue for me, just the bottom blast in a car wash stalls me every damn time! lol. Was just curious what other people did.

 

the splash panel is that rubber thingy between the motor and the skid plate? if so, i'm ripping mine out, once I figure out how to unbolt the skid plate... front 2 bolts are free-spinning
