Speedo cable
I did the Ba/10 to Ax-15 swap a month ago or so, and my speedo hasn't worked since, I am using my GPS in its place, or watching my revs and knowing in what gear and # of revs it at X speed.
This has gotten old fast, I want my normal speedo back.
I thought I hooked it up right, and checked it and its right, but needle doesn't move.
I was told if I had any moisture in the cable and installed it not knowing, that the cable would break. Truth?
Also i noticed that the cable barely reaches, and has a pretty severe bend in it just before it goes into the transfer case.
Is there 2 different length cables for the BA/10 equipped and Ax-15 equipped transmissions? I don't think the tranny/transfer is any longer than it was, just moved the cross-member back 4 inches.
Anyone have any ideas?
