Something yall might find interesting.
ok well my buddy has a tj and it has a 4.5 RE lift, the rear is bobbed and tubed and the front is cut up and he runs 35s. well the rear kept bind up when he was getting really flexed out, and the only solution any one could give us was running long arms.... well he didnt want to sacrafice the ground clearance much less spend all that money.... so we got to thinking...(which is nevr good lol) we just got done putting a 8in short am lift on is mega cab and we had some stock lower control arms.... so we boxed them smoothed them and then cut the control arm mount off the frame and moved it back about 5 or 6in and used that stock dodge lower control arm (which was about 6 or 7 in longer then his stock lower arms. and we ended up with a " medium arm" kit lol. he gained about 3 or 4 inches of suspention travel and it fixed the problem! so i am thinkin about applying this mod to the front of my xj and seein how it works since i need longer lower arms anyway i figured i will give it a shot next weekend. if its sucsessful ill def post pics and do a write up! but i also want to know what you guys think.... cuz i knwo the stock tj arms are shorter then stock xj arms.... (if im not mistaken) all opinions and ideas are welcome!
