This is off topic but worth a shot - anyone know of places other than stockinteriors.com for carpeting? Was going to bed line the whole thing but am thinking it will be too hot, too cold and too noisy....

You never know if you might get lucky at the JY. There might be nearly new carpet in something that crashed. I doubt that would be spendy, if you can find it. I might check Rockauto or JCwittney for new.

Just my two cents I bought carpet out of one at the junkyard and dyed it black had to take my city trash can clean it out and pre mix the dye in about have of it put carpet in and let it sit for about a week mainly cause I was too busy to get it out during the week but it came out looking brand new and I only spend maybe 25 total for carpet and dye

I think I've decided to just bed line and use a heat shielding product on the floor and then just get some good floor mats.

Well, not always bad. I've thought of cutting a piece of plywood, or even steel to fit behind my rear seat. My old carpet is OK for now though. 3/8 plate might add nice weight and quiet/smooth the ride and give good traction, but I carry more than a couple hundred Lbs of tools usually. That (and that) would be too much.

My carpet was pretty nasty when I took it out, and junkyard carpet is so unappealing to me... I'm also in Canada so shipping if decent priced carpet is ridiculous, especially when I'm really trying to make this a budget build.

Decisions decisions!

Ya just never know unless you look. I've been nearly shocked at what you find. I got two new, OEM taillight assemblys, and a rear hatch gasket, fresh as a babys but for $40 recently, AND he let me have the trim strip that goes across the bottom, just inside the hatch. Not "unappealing" at all!

Guess its a "relative" thing, but this is a big improvement!

Haha I totally understand all that, carpet just kind of grosses me out in general (having removed a bunch from my home recently that was put in in the 70s).
Oh well bed liner will be easier to keep clean!

Here in a hot spell in maybe August, I plan to power wash my carpet, then stick some more quarters in the vacuum to get what water I can. Then a couple weeks of 80* weather and it will be ready for another oil spill and what my old cat does......punk cat...

Did you check FactoryChryslerParts.com?

Thanks for the link! After a lot of hemming and hawing I have decided to keep it bare. Doing a budget build and still have a bit more things I should worry about buying before carpet!

Thanks for all the info/help.

Ps having a hard time finding those napa parts... Any good American websites that would sell those for similar price (or cheaper!) that ship to Canada?
