some engine trouble

I am sure you did but I have to ask... did you disconnect the battery before you installed the TPS? If not try disconneting the battery.

lol yeah i did, but i got it figured out today, i figured since there was no check engine light i need to drive it so maybe something will show up, well something definitely showed up haha, well i got a cylinder 2 misfire code, then on the way home from autozone it just totally started missing bad, like it was running on 5 cylinders, so im getting a new coil pack tomorrow cause thats what it is, but thanks for all the help guys

Sorry, I was hopping it was not a coil pack. Easy fix but not cheap.

yeah i know, ive had this problem before about 4 years ago, so i guess thats the lifespan on these things, i drive a lot too, and my jeep being the way it is you can imagine they go through a lot more abuse then they would on a street jeep, ive got hood vents too and i think those have a little to do with it

well i was wrong, the coil pack did nothing, so now im stuck, ive ran out of patience with it, i dont know what else to do

Check the wiring to the coil pack all the way to the PCM, if that's not it, pull the PCM plug out and clean it with a small brass brush
