....for Cherokee's?
[A bar that connects to each upper shock mount to stiffen the vehicle]
and wouldn't this also take stress off the motor mounts?

First off our coil buckets don't sit high enough.
Second those are to "stiffen" a car in corners.
Would it work? Maybe you'd first need to figure out how to make it get all the way down to the coil buckets.
Play with fabing one up and go from there..

By reducing frame flex, your mounts don't get stressed as much since your frame and drivetrain fight each other then either flexes (either big acceleration or frame flex).
You don't have to drive super fast to feel the difference of a tower brace. However, I to think you may flip your jeep cornering before you get a big boost from the effects of the tower brace.
On my mustang and volvo, the braces I added made a noticable difference on corning and also made the front end much quieter (at least on my aging 65 mustang).
But generally any kind of frame stiffening is good for long term life of the frame.

I had a upper sway on one of my VW jetta's! You could feel quite a bit of diffrence in cornering!
But i agree that it would be a kind of hard to fab something like this because the shock towers sit so low in the engine bay...
Im not trying to bash your idea... I think its a good idea And i think you should try it! Im just as curious as you are, to see what will happen!
Now go get your hands dirty!
