Default Snorkals questions

So I've thought about buying a snorkel before. And I always have one reason why I don't.
I don't understand about driving when it rains. So does the water drain out somewhere when it rains? Or do you have to remove the snorkel every time it rains? This question always makes me ponder and so I thought I'd ask the ppl of cf.

Spin it around so it doesnt force the water in and you're good.

Yup. turn it so the grill inlet faces the rear so it doesnt force water down it.

Doesnt matter if you leave it forward anyway really.

My DD(2010 Focus) has a CAI from the factory and the inlet is between the grill and the hood essentially forcing air into the airbox.

Wow... Is it easily removed if you wanted to?
I was really worried about getting water in the engine and hydro locking it. While it's raining.

The top piece? normally its between 1 and 4 clips. Most models allow it to just spin around.

The entire snorkel, not really meant to be removed over and over.

On the ARB style you really dont need to turn the head around, i'v driven at interstate speed in heavy downpours and never an issue.

The ARB style has 4 slits at base of head to allow water to escape, any that gets past that sits in the low area in hose behind headlight before it rises to enter airbox. This water will evaporate.

You talking about the prefilter? Yeah I have one on my short ram now. I didn't know they made em for the snorkel. I'm gonna keep that link.
