I have a 99 XJ Cherokee,4.0 5 speed. On a transfer case shift from 4 wheel high to 2 wheel high takes about 10 seconds after the lever is moved and then shifts out with a slight jerk and clunk. Not to bad when coasting at 15 mph but can be worse when accelerating lightly.Shifts into 4 wheel high just fine.Happens in all gears ,clutch in or out.The transfercase has oil and is not noisy other than the shifting clunk.
