I have installed a new pitman arm today along with a new steering box (couldn't separate the old pitman arm from the steering box, so just bought a new pitman arm), but now there is a little play between the pitman arm and drag link. About a month ago, I installed new tie rod ends, drag link and dampener etc, see images for the parts installed. If I am at a full right turn, as I turn the steering wheel back to the left, once I get just past center there is an almost imperceptible bump. I am wondering, maybe the rough country pitman arm has a larger bore hole for upgraded components or the drag link end is too small. I am considering buying another pitman arm of a different brand, or a drag link end from a reputable company ($75).
Vehicle: 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport, 4.0L 6 cylinder 4x4, no lift kit, all stock parts.
This is a repost from another thread/forum, just for reference. Cheap kit, maybe too cheap?
