Looking into different lifts and considering what i want, and i was wondering if anyone had any experience with the skyjacker nitro shocks? are they good quality?

Their bushings are pure crap. I am running the Nitro's on my Jeep right now...put them on this summer. Every single bushing exploded either as soon as any bit of pressure was applied when installing the shock, or after getting half a mile down the road on the test drive. Called skyjacker and explained to them, was sent new bushings for free (so i'll give them credit on the attempted customer service), but they too exploded shortly after installation.

I then went to one of the local 4x4 shops, got some DECENT poly bushings, and haven't had a problem since. Three sets of bushings on brand new shocks is a bit crazy, and I was getting quite tired of replacing all of the bushings on all 4 shocks every weekend. I could tell a HUGE difference in their bushings, and the better poly's that I bought.

Other than that, I absolutely love the Nitro's. I've heard the hyrdo's aren't much to brag about, but the Nitro's got good reviews. I've had several who've ridden in my Jeep say that it rides great for being lifted.

Never heard this. I ran 2 sets of their Hydro shocks and flexed the crap out of them. They lasted just fine. I prefer the hydros over the nitros because they are softer and ride better.

Hey UNCC, did your sky bushings come with metal sleeves to go inside the bushing?

They sure did. I've still got a couple extra of their bushings buried somewhere underneath all the crap on my desk....makes for a good weapon if I can find them again.
