Default Side trim coming off

Sorry if this is the wrong spot for this. But my side trims are coming off, does anyone know a good solution to get them sticking again?

Tell you the truth, when they get old and nasty, I think the XJ looks better with them off. Mine were in the same state as yours and I just ripped them off today. Used some Goo Gone to get rid of the rest of the cement. After a few scrubbings and washing a she looks a ton better. Here is an in process pic from earlier today.

Took mine off and put bed liner from the body line down. That was after fixing the rust. Love the look.

Took mine off also. Once you get the old sticky tape off it looks much better.

jumping on the band wagon but ripped mine off as well forever ago, looks much better just takes a lot of elbow grease to get off all that adhesive

goo gone and WD40 works to remove the stickyness aswell

Pinstripe eraser and a little wax and grease remover works better. Saves a lot of time.

This is actually one of the first "mods" (if you even call it that) I did to my jeep. I had originally intended on pulling the off to rhino line them, but liked the look with them off. I still need to rhino line the factory flares(least till i can afford some real ones)

BTW- auto zone or any parts store sells a roll of 3m trim adhesive tape. but to fix your trim right you will still need to pull it off and remove the old tape from the door and the trim piece itself. this is a pain in the ***! I used goo gone, pb blaster and WD-40 and an old credit card to get mine off. then you might need a little fine course rubbing compound and gently rub the line out it will most likely leave behind.

here is a picture of mine without the trim.
