side molding - remove or leave on
The title says it all.... More than likely it's probably a personal preference, right? Its main function seems to be to prevent door dings in the parking lot. ?

I hated the look of mine. So I took it off. It looks like crap right now so I'm gunna be sanding it all down soon and then spraying it with bedliner. A lot of guys have done that before and I dig the looks of it

I took the molding off the rear panels. However, I left the molding on the doors. You don't know how many times my doors have accidently tapped something while being opened. Molding protects a little lol.

Take them off. I was nervous at first but I just ripped one off and didn't look back. Use a heat gun and a rag to get the glue residue off from where the trim was.
