shuts off and on when driving

shuts off and on when driving

Have a 95 jeep cherokee 4 wheel drive. When driving, the engine will cut off then back on. Have replaces wiring harness in column, new computer, coil, and crank sensor. Any ideas what causes this thanks

Cleaned your battery terminals and hookups? Are you pulling any codes?

Camshaft position sensor is still in play here.........

Have new battery cables and connectors, pulling no codes, Been in shop 3 times and still doing this

Engine: 4.0L HO I-6, 703 Injectors, Brown Dog Super Engine Mounts

when mine did this exact thing it was the crank sensor. I know you said you replaced it, but the positioning could be off, or the unit could be faulty.

And as TJwalker said, the other component that could cause this is the camshaft position sensor

I have the same problem, but it hasnt done it in awhile. After i got my stereo and subs installed the guy at best buy did something with my ignition wiring harness and its stopped all together.. Hopefully, but if it happens again im gonna bring it in to get looked at but if you find out the problem before it happens to me again please let me know what it was. Thanks
