well my fuse box has a spot for them. but there is now fuse there. and my little dash light thing to left of steering wheel has all those unlit things. but light shined on it. and it said abs. so should my jeep be equipped with abs?

 

do you have an ABS pump under the hood? (If so, you have abs. Duh!)
What rear axle do you have? (8.25 would be Non ABS, my girlfriends 96 has the 8.25 and is non abs)

 

not sure what axle im sporting. how to check?

 

Jeeps are like that... they have wiring and such for stuff the Jeep may not be equipped with. Makes it easier than making separate fuse boxes and dashes, etc for vehicles not equipped with certain options.

 

8.25 will have a flat "lip" along the bottom, d35 will not.

 

oh. well. ive driven without one. so it doesnt bother me. but if i have one. id like to use it. hah.

yeah, that flat piece of the casing under the diff cover.

 

oh. alright. i have 8.25 then. is that any good? like i hear alot of talk about axles. but i never catch on to which one is better.

 

8.25 is better than the dana turdy five, but not the dana 44

 

at least its not the worst. hah.
