It is pretty level. 32.5 - 32.25 inches from ground to fender flare on 235-75-15s. loaded with fishing and camping equipment for a trip next week. Unloaded it will be higher in the rear not sure how much . Will measure when I get back. I'll try to post before and after pics when it stops raining.

Thanks, I went with same leafs and have same tire size, most have said when going with Moog they needed spacers I wanted to avoid that so I bought OME 2930's.
Could you measure from center axel to fender flair front and rear as well. Mine won't get done until next week still waiting on nuts. But trying to get a good mental picture of what it should look like when done.

Thanks forward

Thanks so much for doing that, much appreciated now I kinda think I should of just went with the Moog's if I had only waited one more week lol, I'm sure I have that much weight any given day with spare tire.

Forgot to ask, did you need to use any spacers up front? Would love to see a photo of your XJ when you have time.

Thanks again

No spacers. I have that option and shackles or blocks for the rear. If I choose to go higher.

Probably will need about a 1" spacer for those springs to level it up. It was a vast improvement over the worn out springs they replaced. Maybe the OME coils would be better?

Hi had a question for you, did you have any weight on your front bumper or was it a stock bumper?

That was a 99 with a aftermarket bumper. I posted some pics of the before and after side views, I know the pics are still there but the thread was sometime in the fall of 2021. From what I had read, it is the practice to have to use a spacer up front with those coils to get the rake out. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply, I'm attempting to stay as stock as possible except for that 1"+ UpCountry lift, still have stock bumper just was hoping to avoid spacers as well, do you happen to remember what thread that was where you posted those photo's?

Hey rldstover48, Did you get your jeep finished with the upgraded suspension? I just saw this thread and I am very curious on how yours is shaping out?! I have been browsing different threads trying to figure out a 1" to 2" suspension upgrade for my 99 XJ and had came to the same conclusion as you with the Crown 4886186AA HD Leaf Springs and the OME 2930 Front Coils. I will curious on how yours ended up lookin. I am hoping to do mine in the next month or two.

I am in need of shocks as well and was trying to figure out which to go with. These were the few I was considering.
Old Man Emu's:
Old Man Emu 60052 Front Nitrocharger Sport Shock Absorber for 84-01 Jeep Cherokee XJ with 1.5-1.75" Lift | Quadratec
Old Man Emu 60053 Rear Nitrocharger Sport Shock Absorber for 84-01 Jeep Cherokee XJ with 2-2.5" Lift | Quadratec

or I have always heard good things about Bilstein's but the only options I have seen are for a 0" lift or 2-3" lift. Not sure which option would be better suited for my proposed 1.5 - 2" lift. Curious on what others think on these options?
Bilstein's 0" Lift:
Bilstein 24-017985 Front Heavy Duty Gas Shock for 94-01 Jeep Cherokee XJ & 93-98 Grand Cherokee with 0" Lift | Quadratec
Bilstein 24-010467 Rear Heavy Duty Gas Shock for 84-01 Jeep Cherokee XJ with 0" Lift | Quadratec

Bilstein's 2-3" Lift:
Bilstein 24-185622 Front B8 5100 Series Gas Shock Absorber for 84-06 Jeep Cherokee XJ with 2-3" Lift | Quadratec
Bilstein 24-185639 Rear B8 5100 Series Gas Shock for 84-01 Jeep Cherokee XJ with 2-3" Lift | Quadratec

So, you either replace shocks cuz you need them, or you install a lift.
or maybe, just new springs

Air shox would - but not sure I like the idea on the back of an XJ, given the problems with the top mounts.
