Default shock bolt size

Could someone tell me what size bolt is needed for the top of a rear shock on a 99? I have to drill out and re tap the hole to get a new bolt in there. Thanks.

Probably M8-1.25x25m/m or 30m/m UHL. Use a flange head if you can find it - if you can't, I'd suggest using a flat washer.

Torque spec should be on my site - if you use never-seez, reduce install torque by half.

(I've detailed why elsewhere, I think even on this board. So, I see no need to repeat myself...)

it really depends what size you drill it to but make sure you dont go too much bigger than stock because it wont slide into the bar on the top of the shock. also an easy tip is tie fishing line around the threads of the bolt to get them nto the holes easily.

Dont drill it out just punch it out
They should just be tacked on the top
I have a 2000 and I'm assuming they're the same. I just got under there with a hammer and chisel and punched them out.
