yea was thinking about that, problem is i am going an hours drive from my house, and will be camping out and stuff, so cant really remove it.

i'll just leave it and take my chances, its florida so there should be too many problems with the terrain and stuff.

Yeah either remove it fix it. You don't want to take a chance on it coming apart on the trail and leaving glass everywhere. It's irresponsible IMHO to leave it when you are going to public grounds, you are taking to much risk in leaving glass on the ground and possibly someone getting hurt from it. Either replace it, take it out completely or stay home.

i had my glass shatter and the tint held it together.

began driving home and eventually the glass caved in on my interior at 70mph.

that was fun to clean up.

just get new glass from the forums or a yard, takes about 10 minutes and a couple screwdrivers to replace.

I would also think that a cop is going to notice that and give you a nice defective equipment ticket. take it out and cover it with plastic if you don't want to fix it.

My buddy just tried to keep door glass in his Bronco II that was shattered but held in by tint and it worked for about 2 weeks on occasional driving with NO off street driving. I would say not to try it since your window is wider and will sag more with the weight of itself. But, if you need to keep the glass in until you can get it replaced, you may be able to make it last longer if you got yard sticks and duct taped them across and vertically for support. Sure it would look tacky, but you might get through the trip with it. I guess my advice is to make the glass last as long as as you NEED it but be prepared to clean up after yourself. Oh and don't forget the plastic bags and tape with you so you can seal it up when the glass finally gives.
