Default shake/ vibrations at high speeds

hey guys im new to the forum and the whole jeep thing but im in love with my new cherokee i just picked up. ill attach pic below. but anyway the whole truck vibrates at around 70 +. just a heads up i am mechanically inclined i have my own little backyard shop w/ lift, etc etc... im just new to the jeeps (im a mustang & powerstroke guy!). so i threw it on the lift and was checking it out... the only things i seen were the rear shocks are rotted to hell, rear pinion seal looks to be bad, and the front pass. side u joint is completely blown out. now my question is, would the the front u joint being bad make the whole truck shake even though its not in the driveline ? thanks for the feed back i appreciate it in advance. i searched through all the threads for hours and have found alot of useful info. also where are the best places to get a new set of rocker panels, as mine are completely rotted out? ive seen guys say quadratec.com also ive seen others say Jcwhitney.

I would say if you have access to all the proper stuff and a lift to do it on, why not just change your U-joint to see if it fixes it?

What kind of shaking? In the steering wheel? If so, its more likely needing an alignment or its wheels balanced.

This is a really simple thing that a guy with a shop should be able to figure out.

well if you can see rotten parts when its on the lift that would be a good place to start. Get it road worthy first.

Fix what you already know is broken. Its hard to diagnose someones problem when the truck isn't in front of us.

Shaking could be tons of things. Is it death wobble or just tire shake? Is it driveline vibes?

If its driveline vibes then its prolly your u joint. If its death wobble, it could be ANYTHING in the front suspension.

its definately not a wobble... it feels like a driveline vibration. im going to replace the front u joint and balance the tires and go from there. thanks for the input guys.

If not wobble then you've def narrowed down the issue.
