I own a 94 XJ 2 door model with simple forward and backward seat sliders. I need to replace the sliders due to rust. I am having some difficulty finding the type of slider used on my jeep but do find available sliders described as "rocker" sliders. Can anyone advise if the rocker type will interchange for the straight forward/backward type used on my vehicle? A pic of the type I currently have is attached followed by the rocker type I have found locally.

I dont know for sure, but I do know right and left sides differ. Also one thing that might need to be considered is if the two door slides are longer or not than four door sliders. Sometimes two door models will have more forward travel than in four door cars of same model for rear seat access. I have know idea if that's the case or not for XJs.

That said, I highly suspect that a rocker verses non rocker seat mount is interchangable at least within same year models. A rocker slider would be a nice upgrade, If I see one at the wrecker, Id get it.



I have put two door seats in a four door, same year model, non rocker. bolts up to floor in same way.
Four door seats dont fold foward, but two door seats do fold forward, and that's why I did it, to give me more space in the back, for sleeping by folding seat forward!

What models or trim level did the rockerseat come with?
