Iron Rock slider fitment
Looking for any experiences mounting Iron Rock Offroad's sliders on an XJ. I bought a set and found that they nearly an inch off comparing the front to rear.
Here is how the rear edge aligns to the rocker. It is nice and tight against the body and rocker about 1/8" under the edge of the rocker.
In this picture you can see the front edge. It sits about 3/4" from the edge of the rocker panel.
The view from underneath where the slider hits the pinch seam is here shown here from the bottom:
Does anyone have any experience installing them and getting them tighter against the body? I've confirmed with IRO that I have the right part and that the front edge should be a little further out but this seems like it's sticking out further than I would expect for a normal fitment.
The XJ doesn't have any damage to the rockers outside of the rearmost pinch seam on the passenger side which got bent at some time before I owned it. All the pics are of the driver's side so that isn't affecting the alignment here.
Thanks for any insight.
Nate.

My JCR sliders do the same on mine. I installed some on a buddies older XJ and they did not. I think on the newer XJs the unibody curves out a bit in the front.

I have a 01 and installed the same sliders. Mine are out further at the front as well. I don't think it is anything to worry about. The arms are tight against the unibody, slider itself is tight against rocker.
