Default Seat differences between 87 and 88?

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a difference between a seat from an 87 and an 88? I ask because I am looking into leather upholstery kits and for some reason the year range on the kit is 88-94. This is the case with two different companies.
Thanks

Don't know man...

Bought my cherokee about a month or 2 ago and recently learned I have a handle to move seat forward and back, another handle to make the seat that holds ur back go up and down, and a third handle that basically tilts the seat up and down...

Friends with other jeeps amazed

Hey yea, I have those seats too! I think it was an option or something. Kind of neat.

Batman, do you have any pictures (or would you be willing to take some) of your seats if they are original? Front and back view of the front and back seats?

Where is that handle to make the seat tilt?

As far as the seats, my thought was that most major Cherokee parts from the late 80's to 90 were the same. I know at least between a 89 and a 90 I found the same seats. Ill look at my Chilton's manual tonight and see if it specifies a difference between the years.

Ok... let me know...

As for the pictures for the seats ill try to do it during the weekend...

The handle to tilt is next to the handle that lets you move the entire seat forward and back

Ok, thanks. No rush, but your help is appreciated.

BTW nakedginger, I don't believe all cherokees had that tilt feature in case you don't find it.

Correct! I just was wondering where the lever was so I could see if I had missed it.

Thanks for the specs! Unfortunately I have the straight frame, not the curved one.

Yeah, I noticed that too! I hadn't really thought about side panels till I saw this diagram.

Oh hey, thanks! No problem how long it took, I've been working on other projects until I save up for the covers anyhow.
