Does anyone have any good experiences with a certain brand and style of seat covers for their XJ? I have a 93 and bought some from Wally World that were as close as I could come to the shape of the front seats. They still looked terrible and felt like you were sitting on a tablecloth wrapped around the seat.
I see there are some forum posts about Wet Okole ones, but for $235 I think I could just get some new seats from the junkyard. I'm more interested in cheaper ones. I know I've seen some sheepskin ones in the past on people's jeeps that looked like they fit well.

YOu will not find any seat covers cheap that will fit perfect. The reason is all seat covers that are cheap are universal fit even those on ebay that say they are for jeeps. You want good fitting snug covers you will pay for them.

All of the ones I bought so far fit great, with the only exception of the 92 where I haven't had time to take the seat apart to anchor the cover down...
Make sure you're buying them for the exact seat style that you have.

Most XJ seats are highback buckets. If you have an adjustable headrest make sure you put it all the way down. The back seat is a nightmare to find covers for, most out of the box covers for the XJ are pricey, or you can try to make your own. It's kinda a fancy pillow case with either a closure or ties.

Thank you for all of the responses. I've found someone locally that is parting out an 88 Cherokee with what appear to be pristine seats. Are those seats drop in replacements for a 1993's seats?
What's a fair price for the seats?

i got some real tree hardwood seat covers from advance autoparts and when i had them on the right way they fit great, not perfect but that was made up for by the pockets on the back
