I would say if it aint got a brand sticker and if it is bolted on buy a nut stripe in the frame in probably is but I'm not 100% sure.

I bought an aftermarket hitch that came with the nut strips. The only way to really tell is as finneys98xj says and write Chrysler to get your build sheet. There's a link somewhere here or on NAXJA, but I don't feel like finding it. The E-Mail address that sent me my build sheet is customerassist@chrysler.com, so you could try just sending them your VIN.

The factory hitch has your towing info on it to the right of the reciever post up a pic and we can tell you if it is a factory hitch.

Tranny cooler, maybe a different gear ratio, and the chrysler rear end there might be more but i cant think of them right now

A factory receiver would have 7 pin RV connector on the driver's side of the hitch- pointing toward the pass side. It's got a little black plate on it.

Also, look for two rivets on the nut strips, and bolts that point up toward the roof. If it's aftermarket or dealer installed, I seriously doubt they would have riveted the nut plates to the sub frame.
