Don't keep it in there long... seafoam is an aggressive solvent. No lubricating properties at all!

Also don't drive with it in the crank case... I cringe when I read of people doing that.

please dont. I'd rather see you drop a quart of oil and put a quart of trans fluid in. Run it. Shut it off. Drop the oil pan. Put it in parts washer. Unclog your oil pickup that is probably covered in crud. And put it all back together with new gaskets and seals.

I like Seafoam, but am not a big fan of adding it to the oil.

If you have a sludge problem in the engine, increase the frequency of your oil changes and over time, it will clean the engine.

If you do use it, I'd let it idle for about 20 minutes, then drain the oil. I would NOT leave it in the oil.

Damn, I was thinking about doing this with my 94. Except that it has 241k on her. Was going to do like a tablespoon in the crank case right before I drove 5 miles to town to have my oil professionally changed. Guess not?

I did a 1/3 of a can in the oil for about 30 miles then changed my oil. I didnt have any problems. It quieted my engine down too.

people say dont do it and some say do it..... in my own opinion i say do it. i put in 1/3 of the bottle in and drove up and down the street and than changed my oil...JUST DONT KEEP IT IN THERE!! I did notice my engine has less of a tick and it seems to have free'd up some of my lost HP!

I've ran the stuff for about 1000 miles before changing the oil. No problems. Also sucked water over 6 months ago, no problems.

Alittle water, like drops, in the tb will bust up the carbon on the valves.
