I dont use it in the crankcase but I do run it in the gas tank of everything else gas powered I own. I run one can thru every 3rd fillup.
I run a can thru every tank on my 2 stroke outboards and it keeps all the carbon and pistons super clean. If it can do that to something thats running oil mixed in with the gas its got to help one that doesnt.

google pics of running it in the crank case... its designed to break down carbons so its awesome stuff... youll wanna run it for a couple hundred miles before you change the oil of course... this way everything i breaks down you get out of the engine... awesome stuff!!

If you put seaform in your oil Yes it will clean your motor out really good but if you have a leak that has been plugged by gunk you will find out about it cuz it will leak. Put it in your intake and you will love the outcome. A nice crisp throttle. Just put in about 1/3 of a can slowly than shut the motor off for five minutes and crank it back-up and rev the hell out of it.

Pour it into the throttle body slowly to be sure it dont cut the motor out.

Seafoam is great stuff, I use it every three months in the throttle body. Add it slowly until you start to hear the motor chug and stumble, then add just a little more. You don't want to hyrdolock a cylinder but you want to get enough in there to soak it. Shut your engine off right away. Wait a few minutes (I'd wait 15) then fire it up and give it some RPMs. Good way to find exhaust leaks too. Might want to let your local fire department know because of the huge cloud of white smoke that'll billow out the pipe (j/k!).

you can also pull off a small vacuum hose and stick it in the bottle. it will suck the seafoam into the engine slowly

Dougy's right, if this is your first use you might as well clean out some vac lines... the Seafoam will still end up in the throttle body anyway.

just did this yesterday into the throttle body and gas tank.

great results!

It has a smoother idle and better throttle response.

Next time I'm getting close to changing the oil i'm going to add some into the crankcase and let it work some magic there too.
