Saw post...Does 99+ manifold bolt right on 96 cherokee...

Yea a motor mount or the rear tranny mount is definitely the culprit. Actually for a long time the exhaust would bang on the cross member of the trans axle not sure what you would call it. So should i change the driver side motor mount and that rear tranny/engine mount? The u-joint and inner axle shaft is getting changed at the same time as well. Should I consider doing the valve cover gasket. It does seem like there is some sort of leak towards the back of the engine that could be from the valve cover..I wouldn't know where else it would be coming from.

It has been proven on the dyno (in an article in jeep mag, by jeep mag)that the manifold swap you speak of has shown no actual hop ups in hp, and gain in mpg. They did in fact show a loss in hp (about 5) and loss in mpg. The article did say that when you have a high flow head (ho head) and a performance cam, and headers, it does in fact add hp, but only about 5-10. Its all in the article, i'm not making this up.

BUMP: Hoping for a little more feedback on my last two posts. Also maybe I'll start another thread. But all 4 doors have a problem with sticky locks. My passenger door didn't work forever. Took it apart and got it free'd up as best I could and got the door open. Still not that great. Anyone got any great fixes or parts kit that is available or something?

Also I thought I read about some clearence issues with the header? will this be a problem on my 96? My uncle is going to be fixing everything tomorrow.
