Well, let me tell ya.. I have had everything Rusty's from the control arms to leafs to coils to steering. And all of which I have loved. the coils are excellent. Right now I own the 8.5" coils w/ long arm kit, They ride so good that I feel confident in driving down the road with no swaybar, and offroad I know that I have the articulation to go anywhere I want. The ONLY problem I have with them is the High-clearance long arms. The way theyr'e made is like something over seas. The lower arm itself is very strong and the bushings seem to hold there own. The screw in adjustable peice that connect to the crossmember and screws into the arm itself will wear out quickly and make god-awful noises. Yes, wear out. as in you can go up to the Jeep when it's parked on all fours and grab the lower long arm and shake it and hear and feel the screw in peice shifting around on the inside of the arm!!

Everything by Rusty's is OK just stay away from the High clearance LA's.

For those that say the rusty's lift is soft.... Well..... um it says on the site that they are made softer for a better ride. I was happy with my ride quality when i had mine. I have heard more good right now than bad though...... any more input guys?

My problem with Rusty's is their customer service. It just plain sucks. Also I can walk into just about any Offroad store and pick up a RE part, and sometimes a RK part. Good luck with doing that with Rusty's. Plus the parts dealers are willing to work on the price.. Rusty's price is his price.

MY experience was 3 weeks for parts.

I have a set of his 808 (6.5) coils and they are soft, will I use them yeah.. but way softer then they should be.

So to sum up why I wont recommend them
Questionable customer service,
Bad shipping Practices
Less then stellar product

You all do realize that when you order Rusty's coils and some of there leafs you can chose your spring rate..

Even if money was not a issue for me I'd still buy Rusty's parts. Never had a issue with the parts or the customer service. And on more than one time I've called and talked to Rusty about issue with RE parts.

So I am beginning to realize that the people that are pro Rusty's seem to be those who use their rig as a DD more than not. And those that dislike it are the ones you beat the crap out of their rig on the trials. Since we are all grown up here I think we can all agree to disagree on our own likes and dislikes. Me I like rustys.

+1

His shipping is rediculous.

I had a 4.5" kit with adj track bar and full leaves that I bought used and abused and it was a great kit, and yes I wheeled the hell out of it.

That being said I cannot purchase new from him as it costs way to much to ship. He needs to relize that there are a lot of folks out there that would go his way and give him business if he would work with the shipping fees.
