When i first bought my 93 cherokee it had rust below the doors, but 6 months, some big bass, and minor offroading, it has become an issue...nothing is currently leaking into my jeep...yet. Im basically looking for some ideas on how i could fix this issue or treat it. Ive been looking at some sideplating but dont know if that will resolve the problem. Here is what ive been looking at..

you will have to cut it out thats pretty bad tthe plates will just cover it not fix it you can cut it all off and plate the bottom with plate steel and do a boatside on it kind of like built in rocker gaurds

 

i would cut out the outer section and use some 2x3 box tubing to make some new ones.

 

mine is sooo much worse!

 

what do your floors look like? prolly want to check them out too.

 

cut them out and weld in new OE replacements...

 

cut them out weld in some 2x6 box tubing cap it off at each end and tie in your exo skeloton to them! thats what im doin.

 

yeah mine are pretty bad, but they could be a lot worse.

 

my floors are fine, nothing is getting through, like water and snow...so far, and i have no welding experience, where could i possibly find O.E. replacements?

 

even with the oem replacements you have to cut them out and weld in new ones if you dont feel you can do it you could take it 2 a body shop if you have deep pocets or you could get a welder and learn all you have to do is spot weld its really not hard hardest part is drilling out the old spot welds
