They blasted everything underneath and removed the front differntial where most of the problems were. They will do the entire undercarriage, reinforce the bad spot, and repaint it all.

im sure mine will rust away before it dies. its not to awful bad yet but its only a matter of time.
I should have it back by tomorrow, so I will post completed pics. I'm really excited! I hope it works out as well as I expected, and gives others hope from how mine looked, to how it can be repaired in case others are going through the same thing.

Well on my '92 Laredo (which had some pretty horrible rust issues), I spent a month and a half (working after I clocked out of my job at 5pm, and going on till 11 at night) and about $400. My rear quarters were rusted through in every place possible including my wheel wells, my floorboards needed attention, and there was tons of misc rust throughout the undercarrige...
What I ended up doing was this
-I fabricated my rear quarters out of sheet aluminum and aluminum rods (as supports)
-I riveted all my hardware in
-I bondo'd over the rivets and seams to make a flawless finish
-and I primed and painted...
Look at my build thread and you can see my '92; though I dont think you can see a side view... Really all you will have to do is buy yourself a wire wheel, a grinder, some safety goggles, a respitory mask, and get ready to start removing loose rust.
Your first step should be to check the severity of your components by taking a screwdriver and seeing if there are soft spots. If you find a spot, grind the bad metal out, then fabricate something to put in it's place using new hardware. Since a cherokee is a unibody vehicle, not all of the undercarrige holds your strength, the strength is spread out evenly to the body. In translation- if your doors, rockers, and roof are still somewhat intact, you'll be fine. Just make sure whatever touches suspension components need's to either be refabbed or reinforced.
Good luck buddy!

Yup ... you didn't read the thread, did ya?
AFMan - Where are you located? That's a decent price for all that work, IMO. I'm guessing it would cost more than that here. I just hope they do it right, and you let it all cure before you go bashing on it.

I know this picture isn't very good, but I will try to take more today. That's the first rusted spot area I took a picture off. They sodablasted it, reinforced with metal(see weld spots). I think they did a good job, but rust is rust, and this may buy me a few more years, but inevitably, I might have to take it in down the line again. It's reinforced enough to lift it now, and that's what I really wanted. I live in Lompoc, CA.
