listen to your exhaust to see if your cat is clogged, run a can of sea foam in the gas tank after a fill up to clean injectors, and replace fuel filter. Assuming you replaced your spark plugs, wires, and oil change.

Also, if your cat is clogged just rip it off unless you go through emission checks.

it's like gas treatment to clean your injectors but better. It comes in a white metal can with black and red lettering. Your local auto parts store should have it. Auto Zone, Advanced Auto, O'lriely's

I post this link everytime someone even mentions seafoam on this forum. I personally put a can through it every oil change. You just pour it into the gas tank when you fill it up and it cleans up everything that gas touches. Worked wonders for me. I just changed my oil this afternoon after adding the 9 ozs to the oil so Im not sure how well it works on the engine. I really could tell it was in there and when I dropped the oil it was as black as night. I will do the vaccuum hose thing sometime in the near future cause it still have 1/3 of a can left after the oil dump so I have just the right amount. You will probably notice a difference if there is a problem with the injectors

Default 1995 jeep xjrunning sluggish

Hello everyone my 1995 jeep xj 4.0 had a bad head gasket so I put a new one in along with getting the head rebuilt. I put it all back together and the jeep now runs sluggish like it has now power when you push the gas to flow so goes slow now I'm very lost on what's going on.

Seafoam isn't real troubleshooting. I'd read and follow Cruiser54's tips (do a search).

Most problems on these vehicles come down to: Vacuum hoses (or poor vacuum, loose front/rear intake bolts), clogged EGR, dirty throttle-body, Dirty IAC, inaccurate temp sensor, poor ignition, MAF (in your case), (plugs, wires, cap), poor grounding, failing CPS, Failing TPS. ..in about that order. Do a search and check Cruiser 54's tips, they're invaluable and should help you solve your problems.

Start there first. Good luck.
